About the artist

Jayé Ouellette is a Canadian visual artist whose paintings explore the power and ever-changing nature of the ocean. Self-taught, she has exhibited across Canada, the United States, and France over nearly four decades.

Originally an architectural glass artist, she turned fully to painting after moving from Toronto to the Nova Scotia coast in 2003, where the Atlantic became her central subject. Her work was selected for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's Terroir: A Nova Scotia Survey and Capture: Nova Scotia Realism, and profiled in International Artist Magazine's 25th Anniversary issue.

Her paintings are held in private, corporate, and public collections across North America. She works from her studio overlooking the Northumberland Strait.
